Years of Experience: 6 to 10 Years
Skills Required:
- Platform knowledge on Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, Fortigate, Cisco
- Solid understanding of IP/MPLS and Ethernet technologies
- Experience in IP services (IPv4, IPv6, VPN, Multicast, QoS, SNMP, VoIP, SIP, etc.)
- Experience in Wireless technologies (Wireless LAN topologies, devices, troubleshooting, 802.11 network security architecture, and RF site surveys)
- Proven experience in network management and expert knowledge of network analysis tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss)
- Hands-on experience with protocol analyzer tools and debugging tools
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl/Python
- Knowledge of the Linux platform
- Good understanding of GSM and CDMA data networks (GPRS, UMTS, HSPA, LTE)
- Good communication skills
- Candidates with multi-platform skills and experience in large-scale projects are preferred
- Experience working as a Tech Lead is an added advantage
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience in network management and expert knowledge of network analysis tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss)

About the Role: As a Tech Lead – Networking, you will be a part of the IT Infrastructure team responsible for providing design, deployment, and operational support for systems, services, and requirements across Flipkart corporate locations. The team manages heterogeneous environments and generates metrics related to network performance, capacity, availability, and failure rates. This role requires specific experience with large-scale WAN, Campus LAN, Campus WLAN, Voice network, and Security, combined with strong technical orientation and creativity in problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Independently own the Network Infrastructure support, solving complex issues, and suggesting design modifications as appropriate
- Ensure SLAs are met and track SLA breaches
- Manage crises effectively
- Handle BAU support, updating stakeholders with meaningful data
- Conduct performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting, and capacity planning for network platforms
- Perform change controls, update process documentation, and team portals
- Develop, modify, and execute policies affecting immediate operations and potentially the entire company
- Conduct problem management, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis, and root cause analysis
- Review the entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects, and improve overall performance
- Communicate with peers and managers regarding system issues and participate in 24x7 on-call support
- Manage team rosters
- Automate operational tasks to simplify and strengthen processes
- Handle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
- Manage deliverables of junior members and mentor them
- Generate meaningful reports to improve team performance
- Utilize critical thinking and project management tools and techniques in daily responsibilities and resource/workload planning
- Engage with vendors
