Amazon is seeking dynamic leaders to manage large non-exempt teams within our advanced fulfillment network. This is a full-time, on-site position based in one of our Amazon fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operational facilities, not a corporate office role.

As an Area Manager, you will be at the forefront of our commitment to customers, ensuring timely delivery of orders by managing a large team of Amazon Associates. You will have the chance to invest in your team and cultivate a collaborative leadership style, leveraging the tools, processes, and operations that have made Amazon a leader in customer satisfaction.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Guide, oversee, and nurture a team of 50-100 Amazon associates.
- Relay policies to your team and act as the main source of information, ensuring adherence, consistency, and implementing corrective measures when required.
- Design, implement, and support recognition programs.
- Uphold all safety programs and OSHA regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all associates.
- Ensure protocols are followed for building security and preventing product loss.
- Collaborate with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
- Set performance goals and targets to meet customer demands and ensure precision and quality.
Job Elements
Must be able to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours.
- Access all areas of the facility (this may involve climbing ladders, stairs, gangways, and shipping docks safely and without restriction).
- Walk throughout all areas of the warehouse frequently; many facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
- Be willing and able to work varying shift patterns that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs. Note that your shift may frequently overlap with weekends or be overnight.
- Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 49 pounds.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree with all requirements completed between May 2022 and August 2024. (You must meet all degree requirements before your start date).
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Skilled at motivating others in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to analyze and delve deeply into data to propose insightful, practical business solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and achieve results.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Interest in advancing within Operations, Supply Chain Management, or managing large teams.
