What You Will Do

As a member of an international software development team, you will contribute to creating and documenting innovative solutions for real-world challenges in Surveying, Construction, GIS, BIM, and CAD.

Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Planning:

  • Plan, outline, and estimate resources for creating product documentation.

Content Creation:

  • Write and publish documents such as online help, release notes, tutorials, and product news.
  • Review and edit program strings and other developer-written content.

Collaboration:

  • Interview subject matter experts and developers to gather information.
  • Work with the delivery team to groom user stories, ensuring UI satisfies requirements and features remain contextually relevant.
  • Assist developers with UI design and maintain consistency throughout the software.
  • Collaborate with UI Designers to create mockups, icons, and conceptual graphics for documentation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Test documentation for accuracy and usability.

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts in clear, concise, and grammatically correct American English.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to working across distributed teams.
  • Experience with documentation tools such as AuthorIT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, SnagIt, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with principles of technical writing, editing, documentation management, and graphic design.
  • Agile software development experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with tools like RoboHelp, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, and Captivate.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of surveying (terrestrial and GNSS), construction, mapping, CAD, and 3D modeling.
