Role Description:
This full-time, on-site position is for a Speech Language Pathologist who will be tasked with diagnosing and treating patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties. The role involves creating and implementing personalized therapy plans, conducting therapy sessions, and monitoring patient progress. The Speech Language Pathologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals and provide guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
- Track and document patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding speech and language development and strategies for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of speech therapy and communication disorders.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Expertise in Dysphagia (swallowing disorders) and other language disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
