Role Description

Outpatient Department (OPD) Responsibilities:
- Assess and examine patients upon arrival to the OPD.
- Provide medical advice for investigations and prescribe appropriate medications.
- Refer patients to the Operating Theatre (OT) for procedures like dressing or stitching if needed.
- Arrange for inpatient department (IPD) admission and administer immediate indoor treatment.
- Ensure timely institution of treatment and handover to the next duty doctor.
- Coordinate patient referrals to higher centers with detailed information for patients and their relatives.
- Arrange ambulance services as per company policy and coordinate pharmacist accompaniment.

Casualty Responsibilities:
- Conduct quick examinations of patients arriving at the casualty.
- Immediately institute necessary medical treatments.
- Refer patients to the OT for procedures such as dressing or stitching.

General Duties:
- Attend to OPD patients daily at the Occupational Health Center (OHC).
- Provide medical care and oversee treatment for patients admitted under the guidance of the Head Medical.
- Supervise nursing care, maintain case notes, and perform surgical procedures as necessary.
- Conduct annual medical examinations for employees as required.
- Supervise and ensure the functioning of medical and general stores, X-ray unit, laboratory, and hospital kitchen when assigned.
- Support administration with attendance checks, leave recommendations, and duty preparations as directed by the Head Medical of Joda.

 Skills

Medical Care Skills:
- Ensure high standards of medical care covering preventive, curative, and promotive aspects.
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and manage required records.
- Handle first aid and emergencies arising from accidents or illnesses.
- Liaise with hospitals and specialists for health camps and employee health talks.
- Promote occupational health and hygiene practices.
- Oversee the maintenance and administration of the Occupational Health Center.
- Conduct training programs on first aid, general health, and hygiene.
- Organize health audits, risk assessments, and implement health management systems.
- Advise on safe work practices and health management systems.

Other Details
- Education: MBBS from a recognized university, with DNB Medicine or MD Medicine specialization.
