Position Overview:
A competent doctor is required to fulfill the following responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Examine patients thoroughly.
- Provide medical advice, including recommendations for investigations and medications.
- Refer patients needing dressing or stitching to the Operating Theatre (OT).
- Admit patients to In-Patient Department (IPD) if required.
- Perform swift examinations and initiate immediate treatment.
- Attend Outpatient Department (OPD) patients daily at the Occupational Health Center (OHC).
- Oversee the treatment and medical care of ward patients under the guidance of the Head Medical. This includes:
- Writing comprehensive case notes upon admission.
- Issuing daily instructions regarding patient diet and treatment.
- Supervising general nursing care provided by the nursing staff.
- Performing surgical procedures as needed or advised by the Head Medical/Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS).
- Conduct annual medical examinations for employees as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the Medical Store, Dispensary, General Store, X-ray Unit, Laboratory, Operation Theatre, and Hospital Kitchen as assigned by the Head Medical, depending on doctor availability.
- Supervise and ensure the proper functioning of the stores in the allocated section.
- Assist in administrative tasks, including checking attendance, recommending leave grants, and preparing duty schedules.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Medical of Meramandali.

Medical Competencies:
- Maintain high standards of preventive, curative, and promotive medical care.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain necessary records.
- Handle First Aid and emergencies resulting from accidents or illnesses.
- Liaise with hospitals and specialists for periodic health camps and health talks for employees.
- Promote occupational health and hygiene.
- Oversee the maintenance and administration of the occupational health center.
- Conduct periodic training programs on First Aid, general health, and hygiene.
- Organize internal health audits and risk assessments.
- Implement health management systems and advise employers and employees on safe and healthy work practices.
- Coordinate in-house training on health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an MBBS and a DNB/MD in Medicine from a recognized university.
- The university should be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the Medical Council of India (MCI).
