Job Title: Senior Curation Associate, Amazon Fashion
Role Overview:
As a Fashion Curator at Amazon, your main role is to curate and manage the selection of fashion products on our platform. You will work closely with site merchandising, marketing, and Brand & Creative teams to ensure our product stories align with our brand's identity and resonate with our target audience. Additionally, you will collaborate with product and tech teams to automate manual curation processes, enabling a more efficient and productive workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Curation & Selection:
- Manage stakeholder relationships.
- Develop appealing product collections and stories to enhance the shopping experience.
- Stay updated on current fashion trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
- Work with the marketing team to create engaging content that highlights curated items and tells compelling stories.
- Analyze performance data to make data-driven decisions on curation strategies.
- Maintain and improve consumer perception through curation by setting and refining guidelines.
- Provide input and share high-value ASINs for PR channels, including social media, press releases, newsletters, and the company website.
Trends Forecasting:
- Identify key fashion trends through online and offline research.
- Compile fashion reports and maintain a repository.
- Highlight gaps in the assortment from both core and trend perspectives.
Wireframe & Store Experience:
- Collaborate with the Content Team to ideate editorial-led approaches.
- Develop detailed wireframes for the fashion e-commerce website, focusing on user interactions and navigation flow.
- Gather requirements from cross-functional teams and translate them into wireframes.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback into wireframe iterations for a collaborative and iterative process.
Central Projects:
- Manage end-to-end Central Curation Projects, such as developing core and trend destinations.
- Create comprehensive project plans and timelines.
- Align project objectives with overall business strategy.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members to drive project success.
- Establish KPIs for projects and monitor performance against targets.
- Use data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and optimize project outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Deep understanding of fashion trends and the ability to predict market demands.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multiple teams and vendors.
- Proficiency with e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and merchandising tools.
- Creative mindset with a strong eye for aesthetics and design.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed fashion college or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally in e-commerce within curation, buying, or merchandising.

Detailed Responsibilities:
Building Relevant Selection:
1. Identify white spaces in Amazon's assortment through competitive analysis and market research.
2. Conduct market research and competition benchmarking to determine the needed assortment.
3. Analyze past sales data and top-searched keywords to validate and assess the feasibility of launching new assortments.
4. Mentor potential brands and small vendors to elevate their fashion offerings.
5. Guide brands and vendors in forecasting, trend spotting, and capsule/collection building.
6. Create trend guides with color palettes, prints, fabric types, and silhouettes.
7. Develop visibility plans via curated landing links and stores for events and category pages.
Automation:
1. Understand the curation process and seek ways to automate and reduce manual efforts.
2. Collaborate with the Machine Learning (ML) team to build and improve curation automation tools.
3. Work with external partners to enhance automation engines and user experience.
4. Participate in project-based work to build a trend bank of automated curations.
Cross-functional Stakeholder Management:
- Manage multi-functional stakeholders, as each project/task involves various teams and expertise.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional marketing experience.
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, pivot tables).
- Minimum 4.5 years of experience in e-commerce within curation, buying, or merchandising.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and forecasting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Background in fashion education.
- Expertise in fashion trends across various categories.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce, startups, advertising, or commercial settings.
