Role: Content Development Executive for Indian Original Series

Summary:
Amazon Prime Video is on the lookout for a seasoned, innovative content development executive to spearhead the creative development of new Indian Original Series. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in development and production, a proven track record in crafting content strategies driven by customer insights, and the ability to captivate audiences with compelling narratives. The role demands deep relationships with Indian talent, writers, and the broader creative community, along with a passion for innovation and team leadership skills. The candidate will focus on understanding target customer segments, building a story pipeline through collaboration with creative talents, and delivering captivating shows. Reporting to the Head of India Originals, the candidate will join a motivated, passionate, and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop New Series: Scout and cultivate new story ideas, transforming them into engaging series.
- Collaborate Creatively: Work with established and emerging creators to bring their passion projects to life.
- Oversee Creative Processes: Engage in all aspects of the creative process, including script development, casting, budgeting, editing, music, and final cuts to ensure high-quality content.
- Analyze Consumer Preferences: Identify viewer preferences, analyze viewership data, and generate insights for future content. 
- Partner with Internal Teams: Collaborate with teams across Amazon MGM Studios, Marketing, Social, and PR from initial pitch to launch.
- Champion Innovation: Advocate for creators and stories, continuously innovating and raising the bar for storytelling quality.

Daily Activities:

- Meet with creators to discuss their story ideas.
- Review and provide feedback on scripts.
- Watch rough cuts and edits, seeing scripts come to life.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues on promotional strategies.
- Discuss potential story ideas inspired by various media such as articles, plays, books, or art.

Team Dynamics:
The Hindi original series development team is a self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative group, dedicated to creating authentic and compelling stories. They have been pivotal in producing some of the most beloved shows in India and globally.

Basic Qualifications:

- Over 9 years of experience as a creative executive.
- More than 10 years of experience in showrunning or producing.
- Experience collaborating with departments such as casting, production, research, PR, and legal affairs.
- Proficiency in overseeing all creative aspects of development, production, and post-production.
- Experience in multiple areas of unscripted production, development, or commissioning.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with a premium television network or top-tier production company.
- Proven ability to manage film and television development and production from concept to launch.
