Postdoctoral Position in Biophysics/Biochemistry

We are seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral researcher to join our team studying lipid/alcohol regulation of calcium- and voltage-gated potassium (BK) channels. The ideal candidate will have:
- PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Physiology, or Neuroscience(0-2 years of experience)
- Documented expertise in patch-clamp or bilayer electrophysiology
- Proven experience with gating model analysis at single channel or whole-cell current resolution
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals (at least 2 first-author publications)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Study lipid/alcohol regulation of BK channels in native tissues and heterologous systems
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments using patch-clamp and bilayer electrophysiology
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to manuscript preparation
- Present research findings at conferences and seminars
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with molecular biology techniques (cloning, mutagenesis, etc.)
- Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., Igor Pro, Matlab)
- Knowledge of lipid biochemistry and physiology
